"While I lived in Mumbai, I experienced firsthand the catastrophic impacts of economic inequality, especially as it relates to access to adequate treatment and care. I would see crowds gathered at hospitals, demanding that the government help them receive proper care. Because I witnessed the devastating toll of healthcare inequity in India, I was passionate about staring a charity that meets the needs of these underprivileged people. Ashaa charity’s mission is to change the lives of those living in poverty in our homeland, India. I hope to stay true to my culture and to continue advocating for fair treatment and providing funds to help individuals that do not have access to acceptable healthcare in India. "

"As an Indian premed student residing in America, my journey began with firsthand experiences of healthcare challenges in Kerala, India, where I lived and frequently visited hospitals. These experiences deeply shaped my conviction to establish a nonprofit dedicated to improving healthcare services in my homeland. Witnessing overcrowded wards, strained resources, and disparities in access to medical care highlighted the urgent need for change. I firmly believe that quality healthcare should be accessible to all, regardless of financial status or geographic location. Through Ashaa Charity, we endeavor to address these disparities, aiming to make a meaningful impact across borders and oceans, one step at a time."

"As a student aspiring to go into the medical field, I have always looked around me to see where help was needed. Every time I asked myself this question, I kept circling back to the healthcare system in my home country, India. The insurance system was lacking, funding often wouldn't go to where it was supposed to, and the underprivileged would almost always go untreated. I would go to visit my family in India and see streets overflowing with people who needed help with not enough money to do so. I became determined to help these people who weren't receiving necessary healthcare due to there financial status. Ashaa Charity does that by raising money for those who can not afford medical treatment. It helps students like me advocate for what we believe in and change the lives of others."
